On 11/01/2021 which was Monday, most of the office workers have returned to the workforce, and one of the questions get asked by ourselves or our co-workers is ” Do you have new year resolution and what are they”?
The question is like what is your new year wish or your new year goals. And then at the end of the year, we would like to see whether we can make those wishes/goals come true.
To get we want to get in life, we will have wish, goals and plan. But they are overrated.
What is more important? Habits.
There is famous quote like this: “Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an action, reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character; sow a character, reap a destiny.”
Once upon a time, the best selling author ad Seth Godin got asked this question ” What have make you so successful? It is it goal or intent or anything else?” in the interview conducted in the London Real show. Seth said I think it is habits.
Habit actually come from the repeated actions and actions is come comes from thoughts.
So to make things happen in the new year, we what we need to do is develop good habits by taking repeated actions after thinking clearly and developing some powerful thoughts.
It has never been easy to get a good job, start a new businesses or make the positive change we want in life. But good habits will be our great helpers.
So forget about new year resolution and focus on developing good habits instead.
